In a heavy bottom pan, mix the dry chickpea flour and ghee. Turn on the heat to medium and start stirring the mixture. Continue until it releases a delicious aroma of ghee and besan. Keep in mind not to increase the heat, in fact you can lower it if you want. It will take around 25-30 minutes and the mixture will turn light brown. Now turn off the heat. Rest the hot mixture for 5-7 minutes and then add the powdered sugar and cardamom. Mix it well with a spatula. While the mixture is still warm to touch, take out a heaping spoonful of it and press lightly with your palms to shape it into a ball. You have to do it quickly before the mixture cools down. Roll softly to make it shine. You can make about 17 - 18 balls from this recipe.
Enjoy as a dessert!
Note: As per your choice, you can add chopped nuts or decorate with pistachios.
