Garam Masala plays a critical role in Indian cuisine as a seasoning. It is a mixture of a few spices. It is very easy to prepare!
You need the following three spices in equal quantity.
Take a skillet and heat it on medium heat. Dry roast all the spices for 2 minutes. It will help to bring out the aroma. Take out the roasted spices and let them cool for few minutes. You can grind them in a mortar and pestle or it can be done in a coffee grinder. Make sure the grinder is completely clean. When done, the spice should be in powder form. Store it in a glass jar with a tight lid.
